The Government Evaluation Facility (GEF) is a government-wide project whose role is to support the design, conduct, commission and dissemination of evaluations on public policies and major public investment.
Its main objective is to oversee improvements in the quality of evaluations conducted across government at a decentralized level.
It also ensures that evaluations provide a harmonized, objective and rational basis for effective tracking, evaluating and feedback on implementation of government policies, programmes and projects.
Uganda Evaluation Week, 2014
The Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) with support from Evaluation Capacity Development (ECD) program and Uganda Evaluation Association (UEA), organized the evaluation week from 19th to 23rd May, 2014. The main objective of the evaluation week was to strengthen knowledge sharing and awareness of the importance of evidence-based evaluation in making policy so as to enhance service delivery by government.
